We think about the city as it is. We dream about the city as it could be. At Urban Anecdote, we believe in contributing to a better urban future by activating the resources we have today. We do this in different ways, and in different places. Whether through independent research, editing, writing, or project management, Urban Anecdote is committed to providing services that tell the stories of the city.

Urban Anecdote is a collaborative effort led by Rachel Keeton. An architect by training, Rachel has years of experience working in the field of urban development. As a researcher and project leader for the International New Town Institute, she initiated and led INTI's satellite program in Nairobi. She is the author of the book Rising in the East: Contemporary New Towns in Asia, as well as many journal and magazine articles. She has presented and speaks regularly at international events such as the Shenzhen-Hong Kong Bi-city Biennale, the ING DiBi Denk Anstoss, the Canadian Centre for Architecture and UN Habitat Expert Group Meetings.
