INTI's 6th international conference, “Shenzhen: From Factory of the World to World City” took place on December 12, 2014. Videos of the entire day are available here, so if you missed it you can still check it out. And if you only have time for one video from the event, make it this one. The conference focussed on planning constraints and explored new alternatives in Shenzhen. Juan Du (CUHK) and Tat Lam (CUHK, Urbanus) gave especially good presentations that discussed not only the challenges, but also innovative solutions and (most interestingly for an outsider) how those challenges came to exist. This peak into the Chinese planning paradigm was well worth the trek to Almere!
